Craig Carreno

Craig Carreno was born in Tampa, Florida, on January 9, 1966. An avid lover of nature, Craig spends as much time in the great outdoors as possible.

His “home away from home” is the Everglades national park. Everglades actually means "river of grass" and it is one of the most unique ecosystems in the world. His great passion for photography is especially rewarding to him when capturing images of the Everglades and other beautiful areas of the world that he has been fortunate enough to visit.

Craig specializes in wildlife, landscapes and scenic photography. The most rewarding aspect of his work is capturing an animal or scene from a unique perspective that allows an outsider to view an image in a way they usually would have never seen it.

Great friend and mentor, James Shadle introduced Craig to the art of photography over 20 years ago. Shadle’s input taught him how to capture the types of images you will see on this website – images of incredible, natural beauty found each day throughout nature and within the animal kingdom.

We hope that you visit this site often – and that you find as much joy in viewing these images as Craig had capturing them.
